1. About these terms
These terms and conditions set out the basis on which GAS TECH PRO LTD ("we", "our", "us") provides plumbing, heating, and gas services to you. By asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, please ask us before the work begins.
2. Quotations and estimates
We will give you a quotation or an estimate before starting work wherever possible. A quotation is a fixed price for the work described. An estimate is our best assessment of the likely cost and may change if the work needed turns out to be different once we begin. If we find that additional work is required, we will explain it and agree the extra cost with you before carrying on.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are as set out in your quotation or estimate. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit or for staged payments, which we will agree with you in advance. We accept the payment methods shown on your invoice.
4. Materials and parts
Any materials, parts, or appliances we supply remain our property until they have been paid for in full. Manufacturer warranties on appliances and parts are passed on to you and are subject to the manufacturer's own terms.
5. Access to your property
So that we can carry out the work safely and on time, we ask that you give us reasonable access to the property and to the areas we need to work in. Please let us know in advance of anything we should be aware of, such as the location of the stopcock, the meter, or any known faults.
6. Our workmanship and guarantee
We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. Where a guarantee applies to the work or to an installation, its length and what it covers will be confirmed in your quotation or on your invoice. A guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, or work that is later altered by someone else.
7. Gas safety and compliance
All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer in line with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. Where the work requires a safety certificate, such as a CP12 Landlord Gas Safety Record, we will issue it to you. We will always tell you if we find anything that is unsafe.
8. Cancelling or rearranging
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please give us as much notice as you can. If we need to change an appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a new time that suits you.
9. Liability
We will put right any work that falls below the standard you are entitled to expect. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults that are unrelated to the work we carried out, or for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law.
10. If something is not right
Your satisfaction matters to us. If you are unhappy with any part of our work, please contact us at info@gastechpro.co.uk or call 0730 584 3344 so that we can put it right.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
